Question by Alyssa's Mommy!!: Will having sex the night before you test affect your results?

okay i know this sounds like a stupid question but this is my first month ttc and I'm new to all this. AF not due until tomorrow but the suspense was killing me so I tested yesterday morning but me and hubby BD Saturday night. Got a negative result does having sex the night before testing affect the result at all?
I have some symptoms but I'm not sure if I'm making them up because I really want to be or if they are real.

No, one has nothing to do with the other. The test is looking for HCG, it's either there or it isn't. Be patient, it can take up to two weeks to test positive. Give it a few days and try again, always first thing in the morning
